After four years of providing mobile shower services to people experiencing homelessness in Baltimore, the Generosity Shower program is coming to an end. Founder of Generosity Global, Rich Akwo made the announcement on Tuesday citing a lack of funding support as the reason for the program’s closure, adding that it was a difficult decision to make.
Generosity Global, the NGO behind the Generosity Shower program, is now shifting its focus to sub-Saharan Africa, where it aims to provide access to clean water to communities in need. Akwo expressed gratitude to everyone who made it possible for the Generosity Shower program to operate over the years, including volunteers, donors, partners, and advocates.
Generosity Global, a registered U.S. non-profit organization, is committed to using the power of generosity to enhance the quality of life for people across the globe. The NGO’s mission is to provide access to clean water, sanitation, and critical services such as women’s health, hygiene, and economic empowerment.
