U.S: Trump declares Churches “essential” during COVID-19; orders them open immediately.

President Trump on Friday ordered governors to allow houses of worship to open immediately, declaring them “essential” to American life during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The governors need to do the right thing and allow these very important essential places of faith to open right now, this weekend. If they don’t do it I will override the governors. America, we need more prayer, not less,” he said.

Trump did not answer questions, and left immediately after his brief statement.

  1. This is a welcome development. The important of worship places to be reopened can not be over emphasized.. Trump should also do well to revisit his executive order on immigration and allow genuine travellers to enter America. This is going to help the American economy to revive after the effects of the covid19 epidemic.
