An 21 year old singer of Liberian descent was named winner of the American Idol’s singing competition. Samantha Diaz who goes by the professional name “Just Sam” became the 18th winner in the completion’s history.
She however celebrated alone on Sunday after taking part in the finale under lockdown in Los Angeles.
Samantha Diaz, who grew up in Harlem, New York, was told she’d won the public vote by host Ryan Seacrest, who was broadcasting from his garage.
